Every document is handled by a specific court-sworn translator — not a queue, not a black box. You can see who they are and message them from your order page.

  • Court-sworn, named on your certificate — never a generalist, never AI
  • Message them from your order page if anything needs clarifying
  • Know exactly who is handling your document, start to finish

Hi — I’ve started on your birth certificate. Quick check: should I keep the name exactly as it’s spelled on the original document?
Yes please, exactly as written.
Done — your certified original is signed, stamped and in the post. Here’s the scan you asked for, too.

“We've onboarded twelve international hires this year and every reference letter came back perfectly translated. Our works council reviews them in German now without a single follow-up.”

“Marriage and birth certificates from Cairo, all in Arabic with handwritten margins. Their Arabic translator caught a registrar's note that two other agencies had missed entirely. Visa approved on the first try.”

Questions before you upload

How much does a certified translation cost?
You pay a fixed price per document, shown before you pay. Starting prices range from € 47.90 (Driver's Licence) to € 84.90 (Employment Reference Letter). Translation, certification and the certified original by Standard post are included. Express and Digital cost extra.
Will my translation be accepted by authorities?
Every translation is produced by a translator sworn before a German regional court (Landgericht or Oberlandesgericht), to the requirements authorities such as the BAMF, Standesämter, universities, embassies and courts ask for. We cannot guarantee acceptance by any specific authority on your behalf — the decision always rests with the receiving body. If a translation is refused because of an error on our part, we correct it free of charge.
Do you provide a refund if my translation is rejected?
No. We charge for the work of producing a certified translation, not for the receiving authority's decision. Once the translation has been delivered, the fee is non-refundable — including in the event that an authority later rejects the document. If the rejection is caused by an error on our part, we correct it free of charge and your statutory rights apply. Reach out before paying if you're uncertain whether our scope matches your need.
How fast can I get my translation?
Standard certification takes 3–5 business days and is included in the price. Express certification takes 48 hours (+€20), and the Digital tier certifies within 24 hours (+€40). Those times cover translation and certification. Standard and Express come with your certified original, posted to you after that, and you can ask for a free scan by email too. Digital is the exception: you download the signed and stamped translation as a file, and nothing is posted.
What is an additional certified copy?
Every Standard or Express order includes one certified original of your translation, signed and stamped by the court-sworn translator and posted to you. An additional certified copy is another such original — separately signed and stamped by the translator, carrying the same legal standing as the first. It is not a photocopy or a reproduction, which German authorities will not accept. Additional copies cost €9.90 each, up to five per order. They are not available on the Digital tier, which supplies the signed and stamped translation as a file only.
What is an “officially certified” (amtlich beglaubigte) translation?
Usually exactly what we deliver: a translation produced by a court-sworn translator and certified with their certification note, stamp and signature. No authority certifies the translation on top of that. That is different from an official certification of a copy of your original document, for example at the town hall — which we don't provide.
